More Holiday Time for City Workers

Crossing Guard Pilot Program
Katrina Manning supports the Crossing Guard Pilot Program. Using All City Management Services can help establish safe routes to school, so that families have confidence that their child makes it to school safe and on time. Right now there is a high volume of parents driving their children to school and this program would even decrease traffic congestion around the school. Councilwoman Manning hopes to gain support for this program so we can implement the things necessary to get this program running to increase public safety immediately.

First Time Homebuyer Program: Potential Federal Funding Considerations
Our city needs more homeownership. Due to a rise in homelessness there is an increase in funds and grants available to combat this. This program was originally implemented pre-pandemic, but Katrina wants to bring it back as soon as possible. Councilwoman Manning, because of her experience as a real estate agent, she understands the importance of homeownership and making sure Hawthorne residents have the assistance they need through downpayment assistance programs. This is an extraordinary opportunity to support!
